What is Laminate Veneer? Laminate veneer, also known as leaf veneer, is one of the most preferred aesthetic dental treatment methods. Laminate veneer procedure, which has attracted more attention due to advances and developments in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry, is generally preferred to be applied within the scope of aesthetic smile design. In the laminate veneer procedure, teeth are covered with 0.3-0.5 mm thick leaf porcelain. Thus, stained, yellowed or broken teeth are repaired and given a perfect and smooth appearance.
Porcelain leaf ceramics, that is, laminate veneers, which have a very thin structure, are bonded to the surfaces in contact with the lips and cheeks, which are the front surfaces of the teeth. This method allows to correct the bad appearance in the front area of the teeth due to various reasons and to provide an aesthetic appearance. Leaf porcelains transmit light because they have an extremely thin structure and do not contain metal. As a result, they have the appearance of natural teeth.
